the perfect meal

a major aspect of “the perfect meal”’s gameplay is the ingredient cards! they represent components that are used in recipes. each ingredient category (protein, dairy, produce, misc., and chaos) had anywhere from five to 20 discrete cards.

because this game was designed with a young audience in mind, i wanted there to be a clear color-coded system to maximize playability and minimize the age-old “complicated board game confusion”. thusly, the color scheme for this project is very bright and saturated blended with warm neutrals.

The perfect meal

“Get ready to hop out of the fridge and into the fryer! The Perfect Meal is a culinary card game, where you and your co-players compete to cook a three-course meal while gathering ingredients on the fly.”

i had the joy of designing all of the visuals, print material, and packaging for this fun, fast-paced game about competitive cooking.
